EMI means Equated Monthly Installment: the fixed amount you pay every month to repay a loan. Enter the loan amount, the yearly interest rate and the tenure to see your monthly EMI, total payment and total interest. Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you type is stored or sent anywhere.
EMI = P × r × (1 + r)^n ÷ ((1 + r)^n − 1)
Why is the total interest more than I expected? Interest is charged on the balance that is still unpaid. In the early years most of each installment is interest, and the principal share grows later.
Does a longer tenure save money? A longer tenure lowers the monthly EMI, but you pay more interest in total. A shorter tenure does the opposite.
Are fees and taxes included? No. Processing fees, insurance, taxes and prepayment charges are not included, so check your loan offer for the full cost.
